Products typically used include Juvederm Ultra XC, Restylane and Restylane Silk, Juvederm Volbella and Belotero Balance. Although most products contain a small amount of lidocaine for anesthesia, we can make you even more comfortable by using topical or injectable anesthetics.

In addition to volumizing the lips themselves, adding a small amount of filler to the vermillion border will help define the lips and can improve the appearance of the small wrinkles that often appear on women’s lips.

Most side effects are mild or moderate in nature, and their duration is short lasting (seven days or less). The most common side effects include, but are not limited to, temporary injection site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration. As with all skin-injection procedures, there is a small risk of infection.
